Some random shots I took while doing a portrait session for Chef Andrian from the molecular gastronomy restaurant: Namaaz. There's something very liberating about shooting without really thinking or trying.  Steve was the one doing all of that (proper pics are posted in our captografia site). And to be honest, this was quite a fun shoot to do. The mango dried ice thing was awesome! (the chef made us put dry ice - flavoured with mango - into our mouths :P - now i know how witches do that effect!). And I really enjoyed watching the chef made us some very interesting dessert. One is called Pisang Bakar (or Grilled Banana), which is a very common dessert in Indonesian cuisine - more street food - and he made the banana looked like a candle, set it on fire, and voila... dessert! Another dish is called Pencuci Mulut (translated to .. literally: dessert - or Mouth Wash) - where he put foam on a block of chocolate thingy and serve it on a soap dish. It's definitely food for thought. What you see is not really what you get. Definitely give the restaurant a try if you're in the area (Jalan Fatmawati), but you have to reserve first. They only accept 8 to 10 pax per day, and it's dinner only (17 courses). And I think you can only do the reservation online at www.namaaz.com. Happy eating!
